  • Increase velocity

  • Prevent injuries

  • Improve performance

Max Velocity Baseball Academy's Arm Care Program is sports medicine-based and uses scientifically proven methods to reduce injury, enhance velocity and increase overall performance. Velocity programs are extremely popular right now and can be very beneficial if done the right way. However, if performed or instructed to perform poorly, studies show this can lead to a higher risk for injury with potential for damaging long-term effects.

The Arm Care Development Program offered at Max Velocity will use periodization in order to set you up for success in all phases of the year.  We will have different focuses for pre-season, in-season, post-season, and off-season respectively.  By doing this we can have you performing at your peak during the right time, help you recover between outings, prevent injury, and maintain performance throughout the entire season.

Program Includes:

  • Strengthening dynamic stabilizers

  • Increasing mobility

  • Fundamental shoulder strengthening exercises and progressions

  • Throwing-specific and hitting-specific strength training

  • Exercises to enhance baseball specific needs, including rotary power, hip/shoulder separation, and arm stability

  • Training for baseball specific movement patterns

  • Training how to effectively transfer force and accept force (the muscles that "put the breaks on" during the deceleration phase of throwing.

  • Corrective exercises for balance, control, and injury prevention

  • Stretching

  • Pre/Post game routines

  • Proper warm-up, cool-down, and recovery techniques
